Olly has a wealth of experience in bike racing, both on the road and the track. Olly started riding a bike at the age of 8 and has been racing since the youth categories. Since being a junior, Olly has raced at a high level in Belgium and the UK amounting to a plethora of results, including; 5 x National Derny Champion, 2 x top 10 at the European Derny championships, 2nd at the infamous U23 Gent six-day in 2016, 11th at the British National criterium championships in 2019, along with countless top 10s in the top Belgian amateur races (kermesses and Interclub). In 2016, Olly became the first British rider since Bradley Wiggins to qualify for the final at the European Derny championships after winning the qualifying race, eventually placing 6th in the final. That year he then went on to race for the American continental team, Astellas, where he was very successful in the lucrative American Crit scene. Olly has experienced many different Belgian top competition teams, who raced in some of the hardest amateur and UCI races in Belgium. In 2019 Olly was one of the top amateur cyclists in Belgium which lead him to receive a contract from Ribble Weldite Pro Cycling, one of the best British Continental teams. Here he raced multiple UCI races. Alongside this, Olly is the Sports Director of Doltcini O'Shea UCI Women's Team where he has had over 50 UCI race days and multiple WWT race days, working with the team to further performance and pass his experience.

Olly has always had an eye for coaching, but really found his love for it during the first covid lockdown, while studying for his University degree. Having now completed a BSc (honors) degree in Sport, Fitness, and Coaching, Olly now felt it was time to take his cycle coaching one step further by starting AO cycling. He rounded his degree out with his dissertation on 'Does the evidence for the effectiveness of sports drinks measure up?' Alongside this Olly has a certificate in Child Protection In Sport and Physical Activity, UK Coaching Insurance Certificate and Level 1 Training Peaks Certified. He is passionate about all kinds of bike racing and hopes he can now help others to achieve their goals and pursue consistency both on and off the bike. Olly is always staying up to date with the newest science-based training methods, and combined with his experience and knowledge about bike racing, enables Olly to deliver very high-quality personalised coaching. Olly strongly believes that coaching is all about listening to the athlete’s needs, ensuring that mentally and physically they can reach their best. During his period as a coach Olly has coached riders to UCI wins, National wins, Olympic Medals and worked with WWT and WT level riders.
